Hah, good to know. We didn't actually investigate too much once we saw the HTTP requests go out and carry the auth cookies.

And it was just Network Security, we didn't actually focus much on practicals - mostly math behind various encryption algos and bunch of secure authentication mechanisms.

What's up Richard! WRT Facebook and https, they will actually bust you back to http with the next link that you click, even if you manually enter the https version of any URL.

I think I took that same class... CNS, right? Stack smashing is fun.

Anyways, take care.

Hmmm.I would definitely eliminate the Lockheed Martin.Between Google and Apple? Tough decision. If you like challenge, I would prefer Apple because people are new there. If you want to be on the safer side, Google sounds good, since you already have good relationships there. Plus, you can get a dog! How nice is it?
Generally, I would consider 2 important factors, choosing a job:
1- Where will I be happy?
2- Money.
I hope this insight helps and good luck!

I fairly seriously thought about that...

The big problem is that the systems classes I want to take are generally spring only (compilers / distributed systems) so I'll have to take one of them spring semester anyway (or extend my graduation by a full year) and my masters project is going to relate to the startup so it will eat all my time whether or not I'm in the class.

I really did just screw up beyond all hopes of repair by not taking compilers this semester and the opportunity cost of extending my masters by a full year is too high.

Maybe there's a fourth option? What if you took a semester longer than you'd planned? Is there a huge rush?

(Martin ended up compressing his MSCS into too few semesters, and ended up having a really unpleasant time with it... this is to be avoided!)
